Marketing 360 - keeping you in the know
Welcome to the May edition of Marketing 360! This month we take a deep dive into the findings of a new research study conducted by Facility Cleaning Decisions magazine on the purchasing priorities and product preferences of facility managers responsible for the cleaning of commercial and institutional buildings. We'll also look at a unique marketing opportunity coming up in August.

Product Purchases Up, Down or Flat in 2019?

Most facility cleaning managers expect their product purchases to increase or remain at 2018 levels in 2019. Here's the data.
  • Product purchases (Chemicals, hand tools, soaps etc.) 26% will increase their purchases while 63% say that their product purchases will remain the same in 2019.
  • Equipment purchases (Floor/carpet machines, vacuums, etc.) 29% of facility cleaning managers will buy more equipment in 2019 while 55% expect their equipment purchases to stay the same as in 2018.

Top 3 Factors When Considering New Products for Purchase

Cleaning executives cited several factors when evaluating new products for purchase. However, cleaning product marketers should keep these top 3 factors in mind when working on product ads and promotional copy. It could make the difference between you and a competitor.
  1. Product Durability

  3. Product has multi-purpose cleaning capabilities
