How Cleaning Industry Manufacturers are Spending Their Marketing Dollars
Our 2nd annual Cleaning Industry Manufacturer's Survey discovered lots of interesting facts on how and where suppliers are spending their marketing dollars. Here are a few that we found interesting.
- Biggest Marketing Challenges: The top 2 challenges facing marketers this year are: Effectively connecting with their target audience and Capturing and retaining audience attention. The key to successful marketing is to be where the audience is and to provide meaningful content that distributors, BSCs and ISPs demand. A good media partner can help you accomplish both objectives.
- The majority of marketers are pleased with the success of their marketing efforts. 93% reported that their marketing is very successful or moderately successful. Only 7% said their marketing was minimally successful.
- Ad Dollars are Shifting: Marketers are reallocating their advertising dollars in 2019. The 3 areas that saw the biggest increase in dollars from 2018 are Research, SEO and the company website.

Jan/San Distributors are Big Fans of Print Magazines
Baxter Research Center surveyed readers of Sanitary Maintenance magazine regarding their reading habits. Here are some of the findings.
- 96% pick up their copy within a week of receiving it
- 79% read their copy two or more times
- 80% took a purchasing action after seeing ads in Sanitary Maintenance
