Marketing 360 - keeping you in the know
Welcome to the February edition of Marketing 360! This issue looks at where cleaning manufacturers are spending their marketing dollars in 2019. We'll also look at a brand new trade show for the cleaning industry and review the April marketing opportunities.

How Cleaning Industry Manufacturers are Spending Their Marketing Dollars

Our 2nd annual Cleaning Industry Manufacturer's Survey revealed some interesting facts. Here are a few that may be of value.
  • The average marketing budget in 2019 for cleaning industry manufactures is $123,000. 45% of the budget is spent on Jan San Distributors, 30% is spent on BSCs and 15% goes towards In-House Facility Cleaning Managers.
  • Generating leads/customer acquisition remains the primary advertising goal. 62% of manufacturers said that is their #1 ad objective. This figure is up 21% from 2018 when 42% of manufacturers cited lead generation and customer acquisition as their top goals.
  • Cleaning industry trade shows will receive the biggest share of the 2019 marketing budget. 34% of the annual marketing budget goes to trade shows. This isn't surprising as survey respondents reported that cleaning industry trade shows produce a high ROI and the largest number of prospects.
