Welcome to the January edition of Marketing 360! This issue looks at the importance of green and sustainable products among in-house service providers, the 2019 Cleaning Market Webcast schedule and a look at March marketing opportunities.

Going Green Can Earn Your Company More Green — Think Cash!

Green and Sustainable products are big among in-house service providers and they are only going to get bigger in 2019. According to a November 2018 study conducted by Facility Cleaning Decisions magazine going green could very likely be the ticket to growing your sales in 2019 and beyond.

Some of the key findings of the study discovered:
  • 92% of in-house service providers said that working with sustainable suppliers is important to them
  • 90% of in-house service providers said that greening their cleaning programs is important to them
  • 87% said that green certification for products used within their facilities was important
  • 72% of in-house service providers do whatever they can to incorporate green certified products into their cleaning programs
  • The top 3 green products used in the in-house cleaning departments are Cleaners and disinfectants, Paper products (toilet tissue, hand towels and napkins) and microfiber cloths and mops
Practice What you Preach
  • 82% said that it's important to buy products from manufacturers who themselves embrace sustainable initiatives.

"Doing business with manufacturers and distributors who embrace sustainable initiatives is important as that is part of our model. If our manufacturers and distributors don't have sustainable initiatives it negates our efforts to build a completely sustainable program."

"The only power we have is to vote with our dollars, and it's the right thing to do — for our children, for our planet, for our future."
