Sanitary Maintenance - What defines a sales leader?
View Online

A good distributor is definitely an invaluable resource to custodial departments. In addition to their knowledge on various product offerings, most distributors provide training to cleaning staffs, process assessments, emergency product delivery and many other benefits.

If you receive this type of service from your distributor, we’d like to hear from you. Sanitary Maintenance, a sister publication to Facility Cleaning Decisions, is honoring the stand-out distributor sales representatives you work with in its annual Top Sales Leaders Award Program.

This recognition showcases sales representatives who provide exemplary customer service and commitment to the cleaning industry. For example, one 2014 winner felt so strongly about customer service, she continued taking customer calls from her hospital bed after having a baby — never letting on that she was anywhere other than the office.

And many of you have been in the position where you have had a very specific need, turning to your distributor for help. Going the extra mile, one winning rep realized that his customer required a product that didn’t exist, so he worked with an industry manufacturer to develop it.

Then there is the fact that this industry isn’t considered the most glamorous, and it may occasionally be difficult to stay motivated. But thanks to one Top Sales Leader – and his catchphrase “Smooth and groovy!” – every visit with managers is enjoyable and full of encouragement.

These are just a few of the many Top Sales Leaders recognized for their achievements. If any of these stories compare with the service you currently receive from your distribution partner, or maybe you feel you can do them one better, nominate them at www.cleanlink.com/salesleaders by December 2nd.
