To minimize supply chain stress, ABCO Cleaning Products expanded its portfolio of businesses and invested in a state-of-the-art plastic injection molding facility located in Honduras.

ABCO can quickly produce and make available its sustainable cleaning tools to customers. Ocean transit time from ABCO’s plant is very short; only 4 days compared to import programs from Asian countries that can take anywhere from 40-50 days. Product lines that are available for immediate shipment include single-cavity and dual-cavity mop buckets, floor squeegees and its UL Solutions-validated broom and dustpan.

Since the facility began production, over 140,000 mop buckets have been sold in the marketplace. These mop buckets can be bundled with a variety of ABCO’s Green Seal-certified mops. This enables customers to take advantage of the nearshore transit benefits, thus furthering their sustainability goals.

Two of the company’s product lines mentioned above, the Natura Broom and Natura Lobby Dustpan, also earned the UL Environmental Claims Validation for being made from 100% and 48% recycled content, respectively. In fact, ABCO is the first in the industry to earn UL Environmental Claims Validation for these products.
